A Minnesota nonprofit since 1987, Bridging “provides donated furniture and household goods to families and individuals transitioning out of homelessness and poverty.”

What you’ll do: As a warehouse assistant, most days will be spent moving, searching and transporting furniture for clients throughout the warehouse. You’ll also unload new donations being dropped off.

Will it fit into your schedule? Bridging only requires twenty hours over a period of six-months, about 7 shifts, 3 hours each. Shifts are easy to schedule and do not have to be on a consistent weekly basis.

Requirements: Must be 14 years or older. Lifting is required.

Location: 201 W 87th St, Bloomington, MN 55420, about 20 minutes away from the high school

How to get started: Fill out this volunteer interest form and a coordinator will contact you. You’re required to attend a 45-minute tour at the building, then be able to sign up for your shifts.
